About the sector
The sector can be divided in to a number of sub-sectors which would cover all aspects of metal materials which are fabricated to make a new component.
Non structural – Examples would include production of roofing sheets, cladding, tanks, containers and other non structural items. Example relevant standards include: ISO 9001 and EN 14782
Structural – Examples include: fabrication of components for buildings, bridges, stadiums or parts of. Example relevant standards include: EN 1090 and ISO 9001
Installation/construction – covering the activities on client sites installing fabricated metal components. This could be described as a construction activity Example relevant standards include: ISO 9001
