ISO 45001 is an international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management, the highest level of accredited international certification.
The ISO 45001 OH&S management system standard provides requirements for an effective occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. This system will help to reduce injuries and accidents in your workplace, as well as continually improve the OH&S performance of your business. ISO 45001 was published by ISO to replace the commonly used OHSAS 18001 standard.
OHSAS 18001 has been withdrawn and replaced by ISO 45001. Organisations currently certified to OHSAS 18001 will need to migrate to ISO45001 by March 2021 to retain certification recognition. If your business holds OHSAS 18001 certification, you will need to update to this new ISO 45001 standard or lose your active “Certified Company” status.
ISO 45001 suits businesses of all types and sizes and can easily integrate with an existing management system.
